Our Trial Day helps us get to know your dog, evaluate their comfort level and determine if Dog Den Chicago is the right fit. It also gives your dog the opportunity to explore our environment, meet our team, and become familiar with our daily routines. By learning about your dog's personality, play style, and preferences, we can create the best possible experience from day one.

Every dog is different. Our trial day allows us evaluate your dog's comfort level around people, other dogs, handling, enrichment activities and rest periods.
What we look for
Social Skills
How your dog interacts with
other dogs.
Ability to Participate
Comfort engaging in our general playgroup, enrichment activities and new experiences.
Ability to Rest
Willingness to relax and settle during rest periods in a standard wire crate.
Comfort With Staff
Response to handling redirection and care.
A Day at Dog Den Chicago
Your dog will participate in our normal daycare routine including our general playgroups, enrichment, activities,
rest periods and supervised interactions.

Rather than a quick temperament test, we evaluate your dog throughout the entire day.

THe process
1
Registeer online & Submit Vaccines
Create an account, complete our new client registration, submit current vaccination records, and provide a negative fecal test completed within 14 days of your dog's trial day.

Schedule Trial Day
All Trial's are scheduled via email and based on availabilty.

Receive Evaluation
We will share about their day via an emailed report card at the end of their day.

Start Services
If it's a great fit, we will welcome your dog to Dog Den Chicago and you can begin requesting daycare or boarding through the online customer portal.
Pricing
Trial Day
$60 per dog, per visit
Reservations & Cancellation policy

At this time, we are only accepting Trial Day reservations for Boarding and Training Programs. Our daycare program is currently full and we are not actively accepting new daycare clients.
​
For current clients with existing reservations, we require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for cancellations. For example, if your reservation begins at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, we must receive your cancellation by 9:00 AM on Monday.

Reservations canceled with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged the full cost of the scheduled reservation.
