Boarding

We are a small family-owned dog enrichment facility. We offer both indoor and outdoor play. Our indoor play area is temperature-controlled and equipped with a UV filtration system. Our outdoor play area is secured and fenced in. Our playgroup includes dogs of all sizes. All Boarding pets require a Trial Day First.

Enrollment Process & Price 

We look forward to meeting you and your dog! Prior to securing your dogs boarding reservation, our online registration needs to be completed, up to date vaccination records must be on file and a trial day must be completed. If your dog has been with us previously for any services, this step is complete and you can request boarding through your online portal or by emailing us at info@dogdenchicago.com.

Standard Boarding is $85 per night, per dog. Dog's who have a standing daycare reservation receive a boarding discount. We have an increase in boarding pricing during our peak season dates.

What to Bring for boarding

  • Food: Please bring your dog's food in disposable bags or containers with proper insertions.  We recommend sending 1-2 days extra in case of travel delays.

       → Example if your dogs food is in a large zip lock bag: Dog's name, 1/4 cup 3 times per day.

  • Medication: Please speak with a Dog Den staff member about your medicine prior to scheduling your dog's daycare visit. There is an additional daily $5 medication fee.

       → bring your dogs medication labeled with their name, dose, medication name and instructions. 

  • Flat collar: all dogs visiting must wear a standard flat collar. Dogs who join without a collar will not be eligible for playgroup.    

  • Please no bedding, bowls, or toys from home. We supply bedding, bowls, toys, etc.

Check-in & Check-Out

  • Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 12:00 pm & 2:00 pm - 6:30 pm

       Drop off is preferred by 9:00 am. Boarding pick up is by 12pm or there is an additional daycare fee for after 2:00 pm pick up. 

  • Saturday - Sunday: 7:00 am - 9:00 am & 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm only.

Safety

This is not a subject that we take lightly. Safety is our absolute top priority at Dog Den. Our entire staff is certified in pet CPR and first aid. Our low staff-to-dog ratio ensures that your dog will be closely supervised at all times by professionals who are experts in dog behavior. Dogs will be kept separated by crates, gates, or playpens during all activities involving food or high-value items, giving them a safe space to think and explore without having to worry about another dog stealing their resources. We also pride ourselves on our extensive and thorough cleaning procedures. The toys and puzzles that dogs eat from will be completely sanitized after use. The chemicals we use are formulated to be pet-safe and are stored out of the dogs’ reach. Every part of our facility is regularly cleaned throughout the day, and we perform a deep clean at the end of each night, where we scrub the entire facility from top to bottom, including floors, walls, crates, equipment, the yard, and anything that humans or dogs come in contact with throughout the day.

Cancellation Policy:

We understand that plans change. If something comes up and you can no longer make your reservation, we ask that you please follow our 48 hour cancellation policy. If you notify us prior to 48 hour window, you will not be charged for your missed reservation. Cancellations must be done through your online portal or via email at info@dogdenchicago.com. Once you complete a cancellation through your online portal, you will receive a confirmation email. We will be strictly following this policy, as it gives us time to notify a client on the waitlist that a spot is open for them. If you do not cancel within 48 hours before your reservation you will be charged with the card on file for your reservation. * Our cancellation policy is 10 days during our peak season dates.
