About Us

Founded in 2018, Dog Den Chicago is a small, personalized facility committed to providing the highest level of care for dogs of all sizes. We believe every dog deserves individual attention, and we take the time to get to know each pup - their personality, quirks, habits, and what makes them feel safe and happy.

Dog Den was born out of a passion for quality care and a desire to do things differently. After years of working in the pet care industry, including veterinary clinics, rescue organizations, grooming, training, and boarding, owner and founder Alexa realized something was missing from many facilities: genuine, personalized attention and professionalism. With a deep love for dogs and a vision for something better, she launched Dog Den Chicago in partnership with her husband, Eddie.

What started as a small operation out of their home quickly grew, and with the help of family and friends, Dog Den opened its doors as a full-service facility. Since day one, Alexa and Eddie have remained hands-on owners, dedicated to continuing education, maintaining the highest standards in dog care, and creating a safe, welcoming space for both dogs and their humans.

At Dog Den, we’re more than a business, we’re a family. And you may even meet the youngest members of our team: Aria, Meadow, and Delilah, our dog-obsessed daughters who occasionally help greet our furry guests during pick up or drop off.
