Basic Board & Train

Our Basic Board and Train is a 14-day immersive program designed to build a strong foundation in basic obedience. Dogs will learn core skills such as sit, place, and loose leash walking, along with engagement exercises and marker training to support clear communication.

This program is ideal for young dogs with little to no prior training, as well as older dogs who would benefit from refreshing their foundational skills. Training is structured and consistent, allowing your dog to make meaningful progress in a short period of time.

Throughout the program, your dog will stay in our facility, following a balanced routine of training, enrichment, rest, and appropriate socialization. Dog-friendly dogs may participate in supervised group play, providing valuable opportunities to interact with other dogs in a controlled environment.

On the final day of the program, you’ll be invited in for a transfer lesson where we’ll walk you through everything your dog has learned and how to maintain those skills at home.

Training Method

Our training program is rooted in a concept-based approach, combining proven methods to create clear communication between you and your dog. We utilize all four quadrants of learning to teach both desired and undesired behaviors in a way that is consistent and easy for your dog to understand.

Training is highly individualized, and our trainer will get to know your dog to determine the most effective approach based on their personality, learning style, and your goals. Depending on the dog, this may include the use of tools such as food, toys, clickers, martingales, prong collars, or e-collars.

Your dog will stay in our facility for 14 days as part of this immersive training program, allowing for consistent structure, repetition, and progress.

Requirements & Payments

Prior to being accepted into our board and train program you must complete our online registration, a training evaluation ($25) and a trial day ($55).

We require a nonrefundable deposit of $500. The remaining balance will be divided into two payments: half of the balance on day-one (drop off), and the remaining balance on the last day of Board & Train (pick up).
